Devinez's paintings are statements. Sometimes short, sometimes like speeches.

This painting speaks volumes about human emotions and the psyche...
About what we fear, what we don't acknowledge, what we repress or refuse to acknowledge.

About the events and circumstances that influence us, contemporary and historical.
About the strength and power of the human mind and emotions. In both aspects – positive, when it grows, develops, and improves, and negative, when it grows, develops, and destroys.

About the affects that drive people to take action, as well as the long-term processes that perpetuate change... This is what the series of non-figurative works, commonly known as abstractions, speaks most to.

The series of landscapes is a reminder that we are not alone here.

About the fact that the power of Nature is stronger anyway, and we have no control over it, despite modification, destruction, breeding, and all manner of cross-breeding. The power of the atmosphere – that there is something above us, and we can't stop either the wind or the passage of time...

About the power of the elements – we can't stop the wind, water, or fire, and the earth, when it "wants," will also split itself.

That we are so weak in the face of this...

"Pain-ting" perversely expresses pain, but it also speaks of that sliver of hope...

Views usually covered with black, heavy clouds always contain light. The light breaking through them, existence, is a symbol of the element of life and desire, perhaps in every soul, for peace and balance, through the constant struggle with such clouds.

Sometimes it's the will to fight. Clouds are a symbol of constant movement and change.
Where fire appears – if destruction, then also purification.

Devinez in its construction brings to mind one of the French words for: guess, surmise. Each time, it forces you to think. To interpret and decipher the message for yourself, to look at yourself in these images, as if in mirrors.
